Job Title:SAP MDM requirement
Description:The Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA (YMUS) continues to extend and upgrade its SAP (ECC 6.0) application footprint. We are looking for a seasoned individual to migrate our existing SAP MDM 5.5 application to the current version of MDM NetWeaver 7.1. YMUS uses the current MDM environment to control the creation, maintenance, and syndication of customer master data in support of its wholesale distribution network. In addition, we are looking to extend the application for centralization of the company’s material master for its vehicles, engines, and outdoor power equipment. This position will report to the Department Manager of Information Services – SAP Finance, and be the lead resource to guide the design, configuration, testing, and documentation of the module. This will include the data migration and integration with the current existing Yamaha systems architecture.

This Business Analyst/Configurator position will be responsible for the analysis, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, training, and other duties as assigned. Additionally, he or she will be responsible for knowledge transfer to Yamaha for post-production support. Candidates granted interviews should expect to be questioned on their previous work experience on these specific tasks.

Special consideration will be given to those candidates who have some combination of the following skills or experience: multiple projects with implementation of MDM NetWeaver 7.1, SAP Portal and iView integration, SAP ECC 6.0 FI/CO or SD experience, and previous experience in the automotive or distribution space.

Duties and Other Responsibilities:

§ Solicit and document business requirements – as necessary, leveraging or modifying previous artifacts from existing application

§ Write interface specifications – as necessary, leveraging or modifying previous artifacts

§ Generate process flows and data definitions – as necessary, leveraging or modifying previous artifacts

§ Design use cases – as necessary, leveraging or modifying previous artifacts

§ Develop test plan and write test cases

§ Develop training and other end-user documentation

§ Develop and implement an end-user training plan

§ Contribute to knowledge transfer plan and cross-train YMUS Information Services employees

§ Contribute to the implementation plan

§ Be the “go to” person during post-production support phase

§ Perform other duties as required

Knowledge and Skill Set:

§ Central Master Data Management – ability to define, create, and maintain an inclusive and flexible central data repository to eliminate maintenance of master data in the connected client systems

§ Content Consolidation – ability to define and implement rules for centralized cleansing, de-duplication and consolidation of data

§ Master Data Harmonization – ability to map and implement the re-distribution of cleansed, consolidated master data to other internal systems, databases, and other Yamaha external partners

§ Portal and iView Management – ability to create and maintain multiple data management scenarios including the necessary security, workflow, and approval processes

§ Rich Product Content Management – Experience with catalog management and publishing using rich content (images, PDF files, video, sound etc.) is a plus

§ Some experience working with FI/CO and SD modules would be a plus

§ Previous experience in the automotive or distribution industry

§ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

§ Excellent analytical skills, with an ability to communicate with business and IT resources

§ Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office

§ Previous experience developing test plans and test cases

§ Should have previous experience with defect tracking software like HP Quality Center a plus

§ Self motivated and flexible

§ Degree from a four-year accredited college or university is desired; an advanced degree is a plus
