Job Title:Mechanical Engineer - Associate
Primary Skills:

This Mechanical Engineer  Position supports the Weapon System Booster Integration Team and Manager by performing requirements tasks such as creation of the WS Specification, Requirements analysis, allocation and decomposition, generation of specification trees, Level 1 and Level 2 requirements specification generation, verification planning and support to the program major reviews and associated deliverables.  Specific area of focus for this position is development, qualification, and deployment of the Booster Propulsion System.


Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education, with commensurate years of professional experience. Knowledge of Mechanical and Propulsion Engineering Principals. Knowledge of Requirements development and management. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and teamwork with internal customers. Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills. Proficiency with standard documentation and presentation tools. Experience with Mechanical and Propulsion Engineering associated with missile systems


Desired: Experience Supporting Structural System Lead and Program Interface. Experience in Developing Structural system requirements definition and draft specification generation. Interface definition with Propulsion Subcontractor and Propulsion/Ordnance CPEs. Primary and key secondary modeling, preliminary design and drawing generation, including Interface Control Drawing (ICD). Preliminary structural and dynamic analyses of primary and key secondary structures. Experience with Thermal analysis of structure, including external launch, captive carry, and ascent environments, induced environment and component heating. Experience Drawing and analyses review. Proficiency in ProE/CREO CAD Tools. Resolution of technical issues.

Candidate must possess an Active Secret Security Clearance. This is a full-time direct hire position.
