EAGLE (Enterprise Accountability Graph) is a small development team in Chicago committed to building a new, state-of-the-art system for tracking enterprise accountabilities. EAGLE is a little slice of Agile in a great big organization. We are a talented, experienced, and passionate group of technologists that prides itself on quality of delivery, continuous improvement, and a relaxed atmosphere. Our developers work with a range of technologies, including Java, RESTful APIs, Neo4j, and Angular 6. We have integrated our application environments with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment best practices.

We are seeking an experienced Developer (5+ years of experience) to join our development team. You will be working on taking this Java application to the next level of efficiency and user satisfaction by helping us design and code the next generation of features and system interactions.



As a successful candidate and team member you must:




  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of proficiency in Java (or similar object oriented language) and a reasonable subset of the following:

    SQL and/or Cypher, UNIX, MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring), JSP/JSTL and Servlets, HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Low-Latency/High-Throughput Programming, Concurrent Programming, Object Oriented Design, Design Principles and Patterns, Agile Practices, Test Driven or Behavior Driven Development and Frameworks, Aspect Oriented Programming, Dependency Injection/Inversion of Control.

  • Have a proven ability to solve problems with technology - Can you describe a problem you’ve solved, the details of the solution, and why you chose the technology you used? Have you had demonstrated success developing large-scale sustainable applications?

  • Be passionate about quality, programming, and software development in general - Do you “sharpen the saw” and continually explore opportunities to improve? Are you a technology evangelist? Will you introduce the group to new technologies and approaches?

  • Be flexible with day-to-day responsibilities – Do you have an interest in polyglot programming? Are you comfortable with working across multiple systems and potentially using multiple programming languages and technologies?

  • Be organized - Are you able to remain productive even when you have multiple deliverables?

  • Demonstrate good judgment - Can you be trusted to make good decisions independently?

About the role:




  • You will be responsible for developing and maintaining internal customer-facing applications.

  • You will participate in most phases of the software development life cycle including story writing and estimation, design, development, test planning, test automation, and deployment.



Enterprise Role Overview - Responsible for developing, enhancing, modifying and/or maintaining applications in Global Information Security. Software developers design, code, test, debug and document programs as well as support activities for the corporate systems architecture. Employees work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications. Employees are expected to have in-depth Identity and Access management knowledge, and be able to mitigate high levels of risk. Employees typically have in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Individual contributor role. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience. This job code is only to be used for associates supporting Cyber Security Technology.
