SeeKing HR, a comprehensive human resource consulting firm providing strategic guidance, program management, employee development and employment services to a variety of clients is sourcing candidates for an R&D and Product Management position for a biotechnology corporation in San Antonio, Texas. 

Qualified candidates will have:
• Bachelor of Science degree, with minor in Biology, Biochemistry or Microbiology
• 2+ plus years of experience in a research assistant position
• Understanding of basic R&D and laboratory protocols and microbiology experiments
• Ability to perform experiments and conduct extensive data search for testing & protocol design

Typical duties include:

• Completes training process with current Laboratory Manager and Chief R&D Officer, intellectual property and industrial secret protection induction and other required trainings.
• Implements measures defined in intellectual property protection guidelines to protect and preserve industrial secrets and confidential information.
• Supports research and development (R&D) and new product development activities, such as product testing protocol design, product dosage and application recommendations, product testing analysis and documentation, product testing reporting and communication, field research support and product stabilization for commercial launch.
• Contributes to implement the Stage-gate process for new product development and innovation, in coordination with the Chief R&D Officer, sales and marketing teams in both the US and Mexico.
• Defines the current and future products’ life cycle (development stage, volume, pricing, phase-out strategy, etc.), according to customer needs, innovation targets and business goals (i.e. net sales, market share, customer penetration, etc.) to 2022.
• Proactively contributes with the implementation of R&D and product development best practices and standards to ensure compliance with international regulations and norms.
• Supports internal training and technology transfer activities to Mexico to ensure local production in 2017 and a smooth transition to local R&D and product development.
• Ensures adequate documentation and “institutional memory” recording both for internal documents (including bug-book update) and external documents (e.g. peer-reviewed articles, publications, etc.).
• Actively participates in internal meetings such as “sales and operations planning (S&OP)”, internal strategy communication and business updates, new hire introduction, any other meetings as required for all employees.
