The Therapeutic Specialist is responsible for implementing the Client's  sales/marketing plan to assure maximum market penetration. Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial and innovative environment where proactive business ideas are strongly encouraged. The position requires demonstrated business and analytical capabilities, excellent communication and prioritization skills, experience identifying and developing relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), as well as a strong collaborative working style coupled with a high sense of urgency and drive for achievement.


  • Developing strong business relationships with health care partners and customers
  • Building territory plans to launch a new brand into the territory
  • Developing strategies to approach potential customers and increase sales
  • Distributing appropriate information to health care professionals as needed
  • Clinical resource for customers
  • Organizing and executing sales presentations
  • Organizing group events and conferences for health care professionals
  • Expert with clinical data in pain and/or neurology markets
  • Keeping current with the competition's products, service offerings and activity
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all company support departments
  • Being fully compliant with all safe use initiatives and company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively deliver products safe use education to appropriate customers
  • Planning and implementing an effective call plan
  • Abiding by company policies and procedure


  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 3-5 years industry experience
  • Specialty Pharma or BioPharma experience is preferred
  • Experience launching new product(s) in specialty markets
  • A history of succeeding in a start-up/small company environment preferred; experience working in a specialty sales team is a plus
  • An accountable self-starter who has previous product launch experience in a Pain and/or specialty setting
  • Location: Must live within assigned territory


  • Field Based – willingness to travel, including overnight and air travel as required
  • Ability to lift, carry and otherwise move up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit, stand or walk for various lengths of time throughout the day
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle and independently travel
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers
  • Ability to proficiently operate computer hardware and software on a daily basis
  • Ability to operate fax/copy machines, telephone, calculator and general office equipment on a daily basis
