Job Title:Business Transformation Analyst

A leading global manufacturer of Commercial Aircraft comprising highly successful families of aircraft ranging from 100 to over 600 seats.  In Defense and Space, Airbus is a European leader providing tanker, combat, transport and mission aircraft as well as space systems, equipment and services.  In Helicopters, Airbus is the world's No. 1 civil and parapublic helicopter manufacturer offering the world's widest range of civil and military helicopters.

This is a contract position with an estimated duration of 6mths.

Position Summary:

Reporting directly to Head of Business Transformation, the incumbent is responsible to support company-wide transformation initiatives that further the integration of Airbus divisional activities in North America under One Roof. As a key member of the Program Management Office (PMO), he/she will support the preparation of program reporting deliverables by utilizing applicable enterprise systems and tools as well as contribute to internal communication efforts. This includes direct interactions with senior executives as well as the preparation and facilitation of project review meetings with a diverse audience of senior leaders.

Additionally, he/she will take an active role participating in specific transformation projects across multiple support functions such as Finance, HR, ICT, Procurement and Legal. As a business partner to project managers, the role holder will ensure a robust drumbeat on project milestone adherence and play an important role in ensuring proper project governance through the validation of project deliverables.

This assignment is expected to be approximately six (6) months in length.

Primary Responsibilities:

Project Management Support: 60%

  • Capture and analyze project requirements and support project managers to define and implement project plans and author project documentation
  • Generate robust project business cases, inclusive of non-recurring costs and recurring savings as well as assessments of project risks and opportunities 
  • Monitor and control progress based on project objective performance measures including milestones/maturity gates 
  • Support the preparation of key project milestone reviews, to be delivered to an executive audience, developing communication materials and decision-support documents that facilitate investment decisions

Program Management Office (PMO) Support: 30%

  • Support the administration of a portfolio of 50+ business transformation projects, applying financial controlling standards and data-management best practices 
  • Support the definition of project management methodologies and best practices to be applied across the portfolio of active projects 
  • Synthesize large sets of financial and non-financial data and develop robust reporting outputs for key steering bodies of North American functional executives

Other duties as assigned: 10%

  • Support the definition and implementation of corporate-wide training and education programing for key competences identified as strategic priorities for supporting business transformation 
  • Support the creation of program communication multi-media materials for delivery to stakeholders across North America

Skills & Competences:

The candidate should have a strong competence in project management as well as being well versed in financial analysis and performance management. In addition, he/she should be competent utilizing the extended suite of Microsoft desktop and online tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project and SharePoint. Exposure to lean management and continuous improvement best practices is as well highly appreciated.

Additionally, he/she should have a demonstrated track record of success managing complex cross-functional initiatives within matrix organizations and as well be a skilled communicator and proven relationship builder. Finally, he/she should bring with them a disruptive mindset and strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to deliver presentations and communications materials to senior leaders within Airbus.





  • 3+ years' experience in one or more of the following functional areas:
    • Project Management
    • Performance Management
    • Financial Analysis 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a related field 
  • Strong user of Microsoft applications Power Point, Excel, Word and Access
  • Ability to adapt to new and changing systems and tools as needed
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and organize workload autonomously


  • Master's Degree in in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Natural Sciences or a related field
  • Project Management Accreditation (i.e. PMP or similar) 
  • Familiarity and experience with Microsoft Project, SharePoint and Visio
  • International work and/or study-abroad experiences
  • Exposure to the Aerospace industry and related sectors
