Description:

This is an open ended contract/temporary position with a major company in Grand Prairie, TX.

This position will direct, oversee and control all
financial aspects of the business for the assigned business unit. Coordinate the financial planning inputs and prepare variance
and financial risk analysis. 
We are seeking a minimum of 8 years of
experience in a finance or accounting role with strong Excel and SAP
skills. 

Primary Position Responsibilities:

Control the overall financial aspects of the business in coordination with the managers of the specific business line (25%)

  • Prepare regular financial reports on the performance of the business
  • Prepare all the necessary data required to explain the monthly financial performance of the business and monitor status of work in progress
  • Complete, analyze and publish key business and financial indicators such as production cycle times, hourly rates, margin analysis, etc. 
  • Provide and communicate the relevant financial data to the business leaders in order to support the business decision making
  • Support the audits by preparing and providing the necessary information to the auditors proving that the processes, procedures and accounting principles are followed

Preparation of the Operating Plan, Forecasts, OPEX, Workload Capacity, etc. (25%)

  • Support the business in the preparation of the OPEX once a year and follow and report on its evolution on a regular basis
  • Prepare the operating plan and forecasts for the business in a detailed manner in coordination with the business line management and the Finance team

Prepare quotations while making sure that the profitability and business targets of the company are followed (20%)

  • Prepare quotations as requested and set up cost targets to assure business objectives and required margins are achieved 
  • Develop and keep up to date statistical data and analyses to understand the business cost drivers and use them to support the revenue and margin growth of the business

Develop and keep up to date a business & financial Risk assessment including mitigation plans (10%)

  • Identify, track, anticipate, quantify and compile the main risks and opportunities
  • Communicate internally the risks and opportunities in order to allow the business and the financial organization to be better prepared to put in place the necessary measures to mitigate those risks and benefit from the business opportunities

Lead in the oversight and safeguarding of company assets (10%)

  • Control the business assets in order to make sure that the accounting standards are respected and the utilization and value of the company's assets is maximized
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new business processes and procedures.

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience required
  • Master's degree preferred

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in a finance position or 8 years of professional level work experience in an aviation company required at least 2 years of which must have been in working with budget, planning, cash management and/or Profit/Loss related tasks 
  • Knowledge of the Airbus Helicopter's business preferred

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office suite advanced level skills required
  • SAP intermediate level skills required
  • Preferred systems experience in Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC) and Business Warehouse

Travel Required: 

  • Up to 10% of the time (domestic and international)
